In the making of this work, we collaborated with the Marrickville girl guides to create personalised and idiosyncratic maps of the park, describing significant places and gathering points.
The result is a facade work across the surface of the building with the white lines representing the contour lines and main features in McNeilly Park. The stainless fixtures represent the historic features of this place including the creeks that used to be here and the old swimming pool. The brass fixtures represent the significant gathering points in the park.
This project was initiated by Marrickville City Council.
